The 2018 Invent Penn State’s Venture & IP Conference, held April 19-20 at the Penn State Hotel and Conference Center, attracted more than 600 participants, including 80 startup companies and more than 40 venture capitalists and industry advisers — all working together to drive innovation, foster collaboration and enable startup companies to take their businesses to the next level.
Hurricane-torn Puerto Rico and an impoverished Native American reservation in South Dakota are unlikely spring break destinations, but Penn State Abington students competed to travel to these two areas for Alternative Spring Break.
A group of Penn State Abington students involved in Alternative Spring Break traveled to Puerto Rico. In addition to visiting historic sites, they worked in the wetlands and learned about the importance of mangroves to the island's ecosystem. Another Alternative Spring Break group spent the week in South Dakota working on a Native American reservation.
